About the Project

The Ana and Vlade Divac Foundation launched the “Idea for a Better Tomorrow” Project, together with the UniCredit Foundation and UniCredit Bank, with the support of the Smart Kolektiv and the Tourism Organization of Serbia. The project’s aim is to contribute to the development of social entrepreneurship and existing businesses and to help finding ideas for products and services which can best improve Serbia’s image in the region and abroad. The project includes a competition open to social enterprises, enterprises which generate income by producing and selling goods and services established primarily for social purposes, enterprises which invest a portion of their profit into achieving a social goal, small cooperatives, citizens’ associations, limited liability companies, craft shops, etc. 

Output: 

The Project has completed three cycles of competition and supported 23 entrepreneurial ideas with a total amount of 130,000 Euros. The following enterprises obtained support: add the previous ones, “Optimist” Association from Bosilegrad; “Naša kuća” - Association for Persons with Mental Disabilities from Belgrade; “Sofi” a craft shop, from Novi Sad; “Atina” - Citizens’ Association for Combating the Trafficking in Humans and all forms of Gender-Based Violence from Belgrade; “Daj-daj” LLt from Belgrade; “Šumarko” - a carpenter shop, from Valjevo and “Bosiljak” - Association of Social Handicraft Cooperative, from Čačak.
