Applications for the Science Camp "Play in Motion" in Novi Sad opened

The Center for the Promotion of Science, as part of the “Education for Digital Economy” project, implemented with the support of the NCR Foundation, is organizing a camp in Novi Sad from August 28th to the 31st, during which high school students will have the opportunity to learn everything about the gaming industry, visit studios that are making the games, learn the basics of game design and experience making games in the Unreal Editor for Fortnite.

Participation in the camp is free. 

Within the “Education for Digital Economy” project, which we are implementing with the support of the NCR Foundation, the following outcomes will be expected over the next 18 months:

  • 7 secondary schools will receive equipment from the STEM field
  • 120 participants will have the opportunity to complete the IT Bootcamp retraining course for free
  • 150 high school students will participate in the camps organized by the Center for the Promotion of Science
  • 120 teachers will participate in STEM workshops
  • 500 high school students will have the opportunity to participate in workshops within the framework of the Science Caravans within the month of May - the month of Mathematics

 

The first Science Caravan within the project was organized by the Center for the Promotion of Science as part of this year’s May Month of Mathematics. High School students from Šabac, Čačak, Kragujevac, Zaječar and Niš visited various exhibitions as part of the event called “Reality seen by Big Data” and participated in workshops in the Silos area. 

 

The project “Education for Digital Economy, is a continuation of the cooperation with the NCR Foundation, with which we have been supporting STEM* education in Serbia for a number of years.

*STEM is an acronym that refers to several academic disciplines: Science Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics
