A humanitarian concert of Duncan Sheik, an American singer and composer, was organized at the Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra Hall with a joint initiative of the Foundation Ana and Vlade Divac and MTV, on Sunday, 18th December 2010. By donating 1,000 dinars each, all visitors became a part of the “You Can Too” team which raises funds for solving housing problems for the families of refugees and internally displaced people living in collective centers. Serbian Minister of Culture, Mr. Nebojša Bradić, also attended this humanitarian concert. Duncan performed his most famous song ‘Barely Breathing’ and several other well known pieces together with female members of the Belgrade Drama Theatre orchestra, and the legendary Pink Floyd song “Comfortably Numb” in a duet with our actor Sergej Trifunović. Duncan Sheik wrote music scores for the cult Broadway musical show “Spring Awakening” which had a premiere on the stage of Belgrade Drama Theatre in December 2010.
