The “Odvažna” (Brave) program is a long-standing initiative of the Ana and Vlade Divac Foundation dedicated to empowering women entrepreneurs and strengthening women-led businesses across Serbia.
Originally launched in 2019 under the name “Ja sam odvažna” (I Am Brave), with the support of IKEA Serbia and Mastercard, the program has grown into an important initiative for promoting women's economic independence, entrepreneurship, and sustainable local development.
Since 2025, the program has entered a new phase with the support of Intesa Foundation Philanthropic Organisation, and individual donors, with a particular focus on women entrepreneurs from disadvantaged and underserved communities.
The program supports women who are starting or expanding their businesses by combining non-refundable financial grants with mentorship, expert guidance, business development support, and networking opportunities.
In 2025, 16 women entrepreneurs received financial support to strengthen their businesses, improve production capacities, develop new products, and expand their market opportunities.

Building on these results, the program continues in 2026, with another 16 women entrepreneurs selected for support. In addition to financial assistance, the participants benefit from tailored mentoring and professional guidance designed to help them overcome business challenges, strengthen their competitiveness, and achieve long-term sustainability.
Supported businesses operate in a wide range of sectors, including food production, natural cosmetics, handicrafts, textiles, and innovative products and services. Particular attention is given to initiatives that demonstrate potential for job creation, innovation, social impact, and sustainable growth.
"I collaborate with renowned European illustrators who create original watercolor illustrations based on my ideas. I then digitally process these artworks and transfer them onto fabric. This makes my products truly unique. My business has now reached a stage where I needed additional support to continue growing. Through the "Odvažna" program, I was able to develop the website I had been missing and invest in professional packaging, which I had previously improvised in creative ways. This support has taken my business to a more professional level and will certainly enable its further growth."

Beyond financial assistance, “Odvažna” helps women build confidence, develop entrepreneurial skills, connect with other businesswomen, and become more visible in their communities and markets.
Through its continued investment in women-led businesses, the Ana and Vlade Divac Foundation and its partners contribute to women’s economic empowerment, gender equality, and the development of stronger and more resilient local communities.
Because when women entrepreneurs succeed, entire communities benefit.
