New Equipment for Maxillofacial Surgery in Belgrade - a Donation from the Ana and Vlade Divac Foundation for Innovative Procedures

The Ana and Vlade Divac Foundation donated equipment in the amount of 3.3 million dinars to the Clinic for Maxillofacial Surgery of the Faculty of Dentistry of the University of Belgrade, thus opening a new chapter into the medical capabilities of this renowned institution.

The maxillofacial clinic, known for performing the most complex operation that last up to 15 hours, will now have a gas analyzer at its disposal, which will enable additional control of patients during several hours of anesthesia, especially during the most complicated procedures. This is not only a step forward for patients, but also for medical professionals who will now have the conditions to provide superior healthcare.

“Throughout the years, the Ana and Vlade Divac Foundation has had understanding and can always be found in the right place at the right time to help, and always affirms the purpose of its existence. The worthy are always worthy, and always find their way to our needs,” said Assistant Professor Dr. Drago Jelovac from the clinic for Maxillofacial Surgery.

Through this significant donation, the Clinic also received a new monitor, which enables better monitoring of patients in the postoperative process. Given the daily procedures on adults and children, this monitor will be of key importance in improving the care and monitoring of patients throughout the entire treatment process. In addition, the Clinic will now be equipped with a new ventilator for intensive care, further raising the level of the quality of medical services.

“The Ana and Vlade Divac Foundation is proud of the support it provides to health institutions throughout Serbia, including Kosovo and Metohija. The long-term cooperation with the Clinic for Maxillofacial Surgery began several years ago with the donation of microsurgical instruments for performing procedures and new beds for patients, while today’s donation of the gas analyzer, patient monitor and ventilator is another step towards the realization of the vision of providing superior healthcare to patients,” said Ana Koeshall, director of the Ana and Vlade Divac Foundation, adding that the Foundation remains committed to supporting medical professionals, improving the lives of the patients throughout the country, and educating students, adding:

“This generous donation comes from a long-time partner partnership of the Divac Foundation, and Mrs. Anka Erne who has been supporting the work of this institution for years, which has enabled these great doctors to perform some of the most complex surgical interventions in the world.”

At the Clinic of Maxillofacial Surgery of the Faculty of Dentistry, University of Belgrade, we daily witness the exception engagement of the medical staff in the implementation of various operations and procedures in the field of traumatology, oncology, reconstructive and aesthetic medicine. The clinic has positioned itself as a leading institution that not only provides top medical care to patients, but also educates future generations of specialists in the field of maxillofacial surgery. The Ana and Vlade Divac Foundation is proud to be a part of this transformation and will continue to support initiatives that contribute to the improvement of health care and professional education in Serbia.
