Sydney - The famous Serbian basketball player and President of the Serbian Olympic Committee Mr. Vlade Divac, has finished his first visit to Australia and New Zealand, dedicated to promotion of Foundation Ana and Vlade Divac. His wife Mrs. Snezana Divac, and Mrs. Ana Koeshall, Director of Foundation, accompanied Mr. Divac.
All of them are very happy with this 3-weeks long visit. “Our goal was to introduce people with our activities and initiatives. Serbs have immediately shown their great and generous hart. Donations were significant and we are very happy that we can bring hope to refugees in Serbia. We are hoping that we will rise enough funds to finish fourth building for social housing in Belgrade and consequently close the remaining collective centers in Belgrade.”, Mr. Divac said. Snezana Divac added that people recognized Foundation as dedicated and respectable organization. We had wonderful moments during our visit and came to broad understanding among people and great interest in our projects. Ana Koshall said that Foundation would have final figures on funds collected by the end of February. From that point, we will have precise picture of further funds needed for implementation of this project. Mr. Divac wanted to again highlight the generosity of people in Australia and New Zealand, with special emphasize on the Serbian Orthodox Youth Association SOYA: “Young people are our future, they are so well organized here and they are true ambassadors of Serbia and represent the best that Serbia can offer. That is an example for all others in terms of organizing and acting.” Divac concluded.
