PR and Public Engagement Coordinator

The preferred professional characteristics of the potential candidate are the following:

Qualifications:

  • University degree in Communications, Journalism, Social Sciences, Marketing, or other relevant area or university degree with relevant experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience in working in communications environment, experience with working with USAID as donor is an asset.
  • Experience and knowledge in public relations and public awareness.
  • Experience and knowledge in dealing with traditional media and social media promotion.
  • Experience in working with PR agencies. 
  • Excellent understanding of Serbia's political and socio-economic situation.
  • Experience in partnership building and maintaining at international, regional, national and local level.

Duties:

  • Responsible for communications and reporting to donor and project partners.
  • Development of public relations strategies for promotion of the project and Foundation.
  • Develops strategies for communicating projects successes and outreach for storytelling.
  • Responsible for implementation of promotional campaigns.
  • Oversees the development of and provides content for public awareness campaigns.
  • Oversees budgets related to PR and outreach activities.
  • Write and disseminate news releases and respond to requests for information from the media.
  • Prepare and deliver speeches to public.
  • Organize public events and coordinate external associates.
  • Coordinate teams of PR related staff (externally).
  • Coordinate the work of PR agency, designers and advertisers.
  • Prepare organizational publications and content for the website, blogs, and newsletter.
  • Produce and disseminate content for social media: Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn.
  • Establish and maintain cooperative relationships with relevant institutions, media, individuals, companies, CSOs etc.
  • Contribute to project report preparation including media reports.

                       

Skills:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge and experience in moderating public events, such as conferences and round tables.
  • Social media skills with the ability to give the organization a "voice" in the wider traditional and digital media.
  • Project management
  • Time management with the ability to meet deadlines and coordination skills.
  • Ability to organize and deliver when working under pressure and within changing circumstances.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Valid driving license.
